Maintenance Tip: Prevent Clogged Sewers
The Gaffney Housing Authority Maintenance Department's most frequent service calls are for toilet and sewer line blockages.
To help prevent clogs, please flush only toilet paper. Do not flush:
- Cleaning wipes or towels
- Makeup-removal wipes
- Handi-wipes or wet wipes (even those labeled "flushable")
- Washcloths or other cloth materials
- Feminine hygiene products
Please also do not pour cooking oil, grease, or fat down sinks or drains. Allow grease to cool, place it in a sealed container, and dispose of it in the on-site dumpster.
