Rent Payment
Pay With Cash! You can pay your rent with cash at any MoneyGram location nationwide. With 60,000 locations to choose from, including major retailers (Walmart and CVS), paying your rent has never been easier. Ask your Manager for details.
No Board Meeting
There will not be a Board Meeting held for the month of July 2026 at the Beltline Main Office.
Pest Control
Pest control and filter change will take place Thursday, July 16th, 2026, at Limestone Courts. Residents will be notified by memo with the date in advance. Please make sure to have your front screen
door unlocked so that maintenance and the pest control person may enter your unit.
Resident Council Meetings
The Resident Council will hold meetings at each site. The schedule will be as follows:
Limestone Courts: August 10 th at 5 pm
Colonial Heights: August 13 th at 5 pm
Beltline Courts: August 18 th at 4:30 pm

DAMAGE TO THE DWELLING UNIT
If the Dwelling Unit is damaged and conditions are hazardous to the life, health, or safety of the Tenant Family, exist:
A. Tenant must immediately notify the Landlord of the damage.
B. The Landlord is responsible for repairing the Dwelling Unit within a reasonable period after receiving notice of the damage. If the Tenant Family or its guests caused the damage, the Landlord will charge the reasonable cost of the repairs to the Tenant.

USE OF DWELLING:
You may entertain friends or relatives for a short visit. But PERMANENT GUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED. They are a violation of your lease (paragraphs 2 & 7). You cannot sublet or transfer your home to someone else. The Housing Authority selects residents from a waiting list of applicants who are offered housing in the order of priority.
No Fireworks!!!
For the safety of our residents and guests, fireworks are not allowed to be shot on any of our properties.

The North American bison has been the official national mammal since 2016, but the majestic animals have been roaming the continent for about 25,000 years. Wild bison numbered more than 30 million in the 16th century, but by the 1880s, less than 400 survived due to expanding human settlements and over-hunting. Thanks to Native American tribes and other conservationists, the wild bison population has grown to 500,000 in the past century.
In 1986, Congress approved the rose, wide varieties of which are native to North America, as the national floral emblem. The official proclamation cites the bloom's prevalence in most states and the values the flower symbolizes, including "love, peace, friendship, courage, loyalty and devotion." President George Washington was an avid rose gardener, naming a variety for his mother, Mary Washington, and the White House is famous for its Rose Garden.
The oak was officially recognized as the national tree in 2004 because of its historical and natural significance to the United States. More than a century before the U.S. declared independence from England, King Charles II granted Connecticut colonists a charter allowing them to self-govern. When England tried to claw back the charter, Connecticut locals hid the precious document in a large hollow oak tree nearby, later named the Charter Oak. In 2004, a Congressional committee noted the Charter Oak and "the oak tree's strength and durability" as a fitting symbol for American resilience.
Fourth of July Fun
America celebrates Independence Day on July 4 by focusing on family, fun, and freedom. Help make the holiday a fond memory for your kids with special activities all day long.
Start the morning with an American-themed craft and preparing some patriotic snacks. After lunch, head outside for some fun in the sun. If possible, have the kids put on their swimsuits and splash around in the spray from a garden hose, or have a good ol' family-friendly battle with water blasters or balloons. Next up, naptime-for both the kids and the adults, if needed! For dinner, eat a hamburger or hot dog and enjoy ice cream or roasted marshmallows for dessert. Wrap up the day by having the family get cozy under a blanket and watching the stars come out.

GAFFNEY HOUSING AUTHORITY AFTER-HOURS MAINTENANCE PROTOCOL
Routine Maintenance requests between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM should be made by calling the main office at (864) 489-3193. After-hours calls are Monday through Thursday beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 AM. Weekends begin at 5:00 PM on Thursdays and end on Mondays at 7:00 AM. After-Hours Maintenance is for emergencies only.
There will be a $25.00 charge for all Nuisance calls.
Emergencies:
Apartment is flooding (busted water pipes, busted water heater, broken supply lines, etc.).
• No heat
• Resident smells natural gas.
• Refrigerator goes completely out.
• Stopped-up commode
• Air conditioner not working. (All calls for AC after 8:00 PM will be addressed the following day.)
Lockouts:
• Lockout requests must come from an adult household member. Any requests after 8:00 PM will be taken care of the following day.
