Important Dates to Remember:
Resident Council Meetings
The Resident Council will hold meetings at each site. The schedule will be as follows:
Limestone Courts: June 9th at 5 pm
Colonial Heights: June 11th at 5 pm
Beltline Courts: June 16th at 5 pm
Granard Courts: June 17th at 5 pm
Please come out and make an impact on your neighborhood
Board Meeting
The Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Beltline Main Office.
Granard Courts Recertification
Recertification for Granard Courts will begin in the month of June. The appointment dates are set for Wednesday, June 24, Thursday, June 25, and Monday, June 29, 2026.
Residents will receive their packets containing paperwork to be filled out and other information requested prior to the scheduled appointments.
Pest Control
Pest control and filter change will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, at Granard Courts and Colonial Heights. Residents will be notified by memo with the date in advance. Please make sure to have your front screen door unlocked so that maintenance and the pest control person may enter your unit.
OFFICE CLOSED
The Gaffney Housing Authority will be closed Thursday, June 18, 2026, in observance of Friday, June 19, 2026, Juneteenth Day.
Rent Payment

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Attention, Residents!!!
Grills
It has come to our attention that many grills are being used on our properties.
The Lease agreement states not to store any vehicles, grills, or gasoline within or around the Dwelling Unit.
Outside Furniture
Please, residents, you are allowed to use only patio/porch furniture. Old household furniture, such as kitchen chairs, living room chairs, tables, etc., is not allowed outside on your front or back porches or lawn. In order to keep our neighborhoods beautiful, we have to work together.
Swimming Pools
Swimming pools and other outside water features are not allowed on any of the Gaffney Housing Properties.

Foods That Help Protect Your Skin
Along with using sunscreen, research suggests that what you eat can also play a role in preventing sun damage. Include these items in your diet for a dose of added protection.
Watermelon and tomatoes.
The red color of these fruits comes from lycopene, an antioxidant that promotes healthy skin and can shield against the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. Cooked tomatoes offer the most lycopene.
Cantaloupe and carrots.
These orange fruits and vegetables have high levels of beta-carotene, which may help boost the skin's ability to defend against sunburn.
Vitamin C-rich foods.
Peppers, papaya, kiwifruit, broccoli, strawberries, and oranges are packed with vitamin C, which is good for fighting free radicals. Exposure to the sun's radiation can cause these molecules to form and damage cells in the body.
Salmon and tuna.
Fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to guard against sunburn and skin changes that can lead to cancer. Mackerel and sardines are also good sources of omega-3s.
Dark chocolate.
Studies show that the antioxidants in dark chocolate can help fight sun damage and improve skin hydration. Look for chocolate containing at least 70% cacao.

GAFFNEY HOUSING AUTHORITY AFTER-HOURS MAINTENANCE PROTOCOL
Routine Maintenance requests between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM should be made by calling the main office at (864) 489-3193.
After-hours calls are Monday through Thursday, beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 AM. Weekends begin at 5:00 PM on Thursdays and end on Mondays at 7:00 AM. After-Hours Maintenance is for emergencies only. There will be a $25.00 charge for all Nuisance calls.
Emergencies:
The apartment is flooding (busted water pipes, busted water heater, broken supply lines, etc.).
• No heat
• Resident smells natural gas.
• Refrigerator goes completely out.
• Stopped-up commode
• Air conditioner not working. (All Calls for AC after 8:00 PM will be addressed the following day.)
Lockouts:
• Lockout requests must come from an adult household member. Any requests after 8:00 PM will be taken care of the following day.
